  • Permanent Fjord Dragon Mount
  • Forge Goblin Pet
  • Forgemaster’s Gear
  • Forgemaster’s Sword
  • 1-month prepaid membership or 5,000 crowns

Blacksmith's fjord house

The Blacksmith’s Fjord is a beautiful piece of Grizzleheim you can call your own. This serene retreat sits right on the river with a tower to keep watch over your home away from home. The docks bring a beautiful light to the endless fishing available in this home. We found the Steelhead Doodlefish and seasonal fish. We can’t help but wonder what other fish will show themselves here? Let us know what you find!

To the side of the docks, you will find your very own watchtower lined with shields. You can touch the sky! Well, almost, but you are getting a better view of the waterfalls and endless scenery.

Beside your castle, you will find the hard-at-work water wheel, supplying the power and energy needed to keep the famous Grizzleheim forges up and running.

Let’s venture inside and see what else awaits us!

Stunning vaulted ceilings greet you when you walk through the doors. You can tell the previous owners built this place to last; the exposed beams were carved with such care. You will also find an excellent themed bank to store all of your gear and items.

Venturing down the halls of this home, we find the main attraction, the Blacksmith’s Forge. This fiery furnace, powered with the help of the water wheel, will get the job done. Walk up and interact with it to get a pleasant daily surprise. Who knows, you might get some Amber, a valuable reagent used for many Spell Card recipes. Walk upstairs, and you will find the great hall where you and your guests can feast and swap tales.

If you look around, you might find some hidden secrets lying within.

The Gear

The kit consists of the Forgemaster’s Helm, Forgemaster’s Smock, and Forgemaster’s Boots. Each piece gives one Grizzleheim Lore spell. In addition, the Helm offers Hammer of Thor, the Smock gives Grendel’s Amends, and the Boots have Ratatoskr’s Spin. The Boots are especially high in Damage, Resistance, and Health at all tiers. They are a great option for any Life Wizard, especially with the Ratatoskr’s Spin card. The Helm is high in offensive stats and adds some pierce the boots do not have. The Smock follows in the same pattern as most bundle robes. It offers a defensive build with high Health, Resistance, Critical Block, and Outgoing Healing, which combines well with the Grendel’s Amends card.

The Wand

The Forgemaster’s Sword is one of our favorite pieces of this bundle. The beautiful Norse-style blade is fresh from the forge! Glowing bright and engraved with magical runes, it makes a fantastic stitch piece for any Wizard.

Not only is it stunning, but the stats on this wand are also notable. It is common for bundle wands to have mid-level stats, and the new Forgemaster’s Sword is no exception until level 100. I chose to redeem mine at that level, which gave me 42 Critical Rating, 11% Damage, one Power Pip, and 13 Shadow Rating. It makes for a significant and timely upgrade from your Sky Iron Hasta. Even the level 110 and 120 tiers of this sword are as impressive.

While it still has decent stats at lower levels, it may not be the best choice since it doesn’t surpass the Sky Iron Hasta’s damage until level 100. This Wand comes with attack cards for Myth, Life, and Storm. The Forgemaster’s Sword also has a May-cast Chromatic Blast spell at levels 100 – 140. Chromatic Blast gives a Universal +5% damage per pip blade to the caster. This May cast provides the wand with the potential strategy of countering Wards in exchange for an extra blade.

The Pet

Made from cinder and smoke, with a heart of fire is the Forge Goblin pet. The first-generation talent pool contains zero common talents, six uncommon, two rare, one ultra-rare, and one epic talent. This gives our fiery friend a total pedigree score of fifty-two.

The Forge Goblin gives one Shatter Card at Teen and another at Ancient. Its first-generation stats are as follows:

  • 250 Strength
  • 195 Intellect
  • 200 Agility
  • 235 Will
  • 185 Power

These are impressive stats for a first-generation pet. If you’re looking for a starting point for your hatch or a unique pet to use, this could be the one. When it comes to training, this pet likes Death school snacks and Meal type snacks. When I raised the Forge Goblin to Mega, it manifested; Attentive, Death-Shot, Death Dealer, Death Assailant, and Forceful. What did yours get? Given the talents we’ve seen, this pet seems like it could make a great Death starter pet.

The Mount

The permanent Fjord Dragon mount is a single-rider, 40% speed boost mount. This blue and green dragon slithers gracefully through the air. Its wings resemble spring leaves, the perfect complement to any green stitch. But, don’t let its stoic stare scare you! This fierce, elegant dragon is here to help you traverse the Spiral.

In Conclusion

This concludes our review of the Blacksmith’s Fjord Bundle. It’s a unique addition to the Grizzleheim-themed homes and items.

The Forgemaster’s Gear gear will help you in your adventures through the Spiral. This bundle’s wand at high tiers adds more variety when deciding what you will use while questing. This bundle brings cool-looking gear that packs a punch of damage and resistance. The Forge Goblin pet is an excellent addition to any Death collection. The Fjord Dragon is a unique mount that will stand out. We are impressed.

We hope this helps you decide if this is the right bundle for you. We look forward to seeing what you create. Tell us what you think of the Forgemaster’s Bundle in the comments below.

See you around the Spiral!

Discord Admins Baldur and Hannartia!

Happily Everafter

This incredible new castle is by far one of my favorites! The entire estate is full of fairytales and fables, from Mother Goose to The Brothers Grimm. What truly caught my attention was the morals behind the fairytales represented. I don’t know if KingIsle had an ulterior motive behind their selection of fables, but if they did…..BRAVO! Each area of this home has positive morals hidden within the fable itself.

The Land of Fairytales and Fables

As we arrive through the Spiral Door, we see many pathways leading from a central farmhouse.  The central farmhouse also has a small barn with a secret tunnel that leads to the main house. There are multiple gardening areas all around the central farmhouse. As a bonus, this house is a like for your plants! There is also a lovely lake with a stream for fishing. I haven’t quite figured out what fairytale the main farmhouse represents. Maybe Jack and the Beanstalk? What do you think it could be? I would love to hear your ideas in the comments below!

The first house we’ll visit represents Mother Goose and The Old Woman who lived in a Shoe. It’s a multi-level house, 4 stories inside, with quaint details. The last 2 stories are reached by climbing a ladder, how fun! The rooms inside are smallish, but have plenty of space for decorating in your style.

In the Old Woman and the Shoe, there is a woman who has so many children she doesn’t know what to do! The moral of this story is, listen to your parents and have good behavior.

From there we go to visit the 3 Little Pigs, a fable originally published in 1886. You’ll find a straw house, a house of twigs, and a brick house. These are cute little 1 room shacks.  To the left of them is a path that when followed takes you through a cave to the next house.

Just as the 3 Little Pigs worked hard to accomplish their dreams, so can you!  The moral of this story is you can accomplish anything with hard work and dedication.

The next house we come to is the witches’ house from the Brothers Grimm tale, Hansel and Gretel. This is a fabulous rendition of the enticing candy house. The entire structure is covered in sweet treats that sparkle in the sunlight. The interior has 2 rooms that are vibrantly colored, matching the outside. If you go through the side of the large tree stump, it takes you underground, coming out int the main area of the castle.

Hansel and Gretel got into loads of trouble because they didn’t listen to their parents and trusted someone they didn’t know. The moral of this story is to always listen to your parents and don’t trust strangers.

After climbing a hill, we find ourselves at a wishing well. This well has a daily gift for your Wizard! On this occasion I recieved gold and a pet snack. Climbing a hill to a well is from an old 18th century nursery rhyme, Jack and Jill.

Jack was in such a hurry that he forgot to stay safe and be careful.  The moral in this story is to avoid being hasty and do things carefully.

Rising to the sky we have the Brothers Grimm again, this time with Rapunzels Tower. This whimsical structure has 3 stories with a winding walkway that circles around the main floors.

Rapunzel dreamed of getting out of her tower and patiently waited for that wonderful day to arrive. The moral of this story is to never give up on your hopes and dreams!

There is a hidden door behind the waterfall that takes you to the lower level of Rapunzels Tower!

The mount that comes with the bundle is none other than the Pumpkin Carriage from Cinderella! This is another great multi-person mount from KingsIsle, this one with stunning details.

Cinderella had a hard life but kept a happy heart no matter what. The moral in this story is to be kind, forgive others, and don’t let bad things ruin a good heart.

The pet that comes with this bundle is the adorable, or should I say “toadorable” Noble Toad!  As his crown shows, he comes from a long line of Noble Toads!

Gear fit for a King or Queen

If you’ve ever wanted to have a regal look, this is the gear for you. The stats won’t replace your dungeon farmed gear, but it will make an amazing stitch!

This wand is utterly amazing, so very eerie!  It’s called Poison Apple.  Once again, the stats are not the greatest but it would be another awesome stitch. Does anyone remember where a poison apple comes from? That’s right, Snow White!

Snow White was envied for her inner beauty as much as for her outer beauty.  Her good-hearted trust in everyone caused problems for her.  The moral to this story is that real beauty comes from within, and once again don’t trust strangers.

KingsIsle has outdone themselves with this bundle!  Not only is it an adorable castle with many features, but it also has wonderful morals for the children of the game. I hope you enjoyed this walkthrough of the Fantastic Fairytale Farm! If you see any other fairytales or fables represented that I missed, let us know in the comments below! Until next time, may all your dreams come true!

Member Benefit Tier List!

Everyone loves a good old-fashioned tier list!  Everyone loves Wizard101 member benefits! Why not combine the two and create our very own Member Benefit Tier List!

I will list all the member benefits under a category, starting at being the worst and finishing in the S tier being the best. Please note that these tiers are based on opinion only and are not fact. You may find that you love Double Animus and don’t care for Double pet XP. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

The D Tier

Double Monstrology Exp and Animus
Daily Assignment and Daily PvP Assignment Boost

I know Monstrology has its fans, including myself. But most of the players I have spoken with just aren’t that into it.

As for the daily assignment boosts,  to me this is be the least useful of the bunch. I was only able to complete a few assignments within the time given, limiting the benefit from it significantly.

The C Tier

Free Chest Re-Roll
Training Point Buy Back

These are both nice benefits but they have some problems restricting their potential! First off, although this benefit can be useful for newer players it’s rare that you would want or need to buy back your training points once you have gained a better understanding of the game. This makes this benefit far more useful for new players than more seasoned wizards who have little need of it.

The chest re-roll is limited to one re-roll per boss each day. Making farming a little nicer for one run but still not providing an amazing benefit.

The B Tier

Zero Energy Fishing
Double Reagents and Unlimited Crafting

This member benefit definitely has its perks. Whether you’re trying to level up, catch new fish, find a rare wand or even a new permanent mount to add to your collection, this benefit lets you go wild with lures!

While fishing can seem boring for some, others find it to be a relaxing change from the usual game play. The hunt and grind for what you want is always worth it when you finally get it, and fishing is no exception since it offers some great rewards. If you haven’t tried fishing yet you may not find this benefit to be very exciting, but anyone who’s fished before will understand just how good unlimited fishing is!

Double reagents are just amazing. Every reagent you collect by gardening, gathering or fighting is doubled. Always paired with unlimited crafting, there is no cool down time when you craft items. With no timers, you can craft to your heart’s content whilst doubling your chances of getting some of those pesky, harder to get reagents!

The A Tier

Double Pet xp

Everyone loves double pet experience. It’s fortunately a common benefit, and everyone rushes to the Pet Pavilion to train up their pets which we all know will inevitably fail and leave us crying ourselves to sleep… no? Just me? With double pet XP every game you play or snack you feed to your pet gives twice the benefit that it would have normally. So, a Fancy Yogurt that would give your pet 50 XP will give you 100 XP during this benefit. Almost enough to level to teen in one snack! Even gold bought snacks like Shanta Pudding give significant boosts to your pets XP during this reward.

Either way, we all know and love Double Pet XP and we’re all praying it doesn’t go anywhere, anytime soon!

The S Tier

Double Gardening Rewards

Welcome to the crème de la crème! This is undoubtedly the best and tragically the rarest of all the member benefits. We get this gem a few times a year and boy do we capitalize!

Whether it’s Couch Potatoes, Evil Magma Peas, King Parsley or Pink Dandelions, you will double every single seed, snack, reagent or housing item that your garden drops during this reward.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

So that was my tier list of all the eight current member benefits available in Wizard101! Let us know in the comments if you agree!

NEW Aero Plains Bundle

So with the release of Empyrea Part 2, Kingsisle has released a brand new bundle!  The all-new Aero Plains Bundle is related to the Aero Dwarves of Empyrea, some of my favorite area’s and characters!

With it, we get a load of new items like:
– The Aero Village House
– The Squirreligig Pet
– The Aero Dwarf Gear Set
– The Aerocannon Wand
– The Blue Ox Mount (Perm)

So how does this bundle stack up?  Is it worth your purchase?  Well, let’s take a look, shall we?!

The Gear

I think a lot of you will read this because of the gear.  Whenever a new bundle releases, there’s always the question of whether the gear will be an absolute must-have, or not.  Well, it’s not bad!

I think an immediate fun feature to note is the variety of cards!  They’re all smaller pip versions of the originals and could be a lot of fun to mess around with!

The stats are also not too horrible, and could serve as filler gear while you farm for your new Paradox gear!  The shadow pip chance is good, providing a combined shadow pip bonus of 11%!  This universal gear would be especially useful for a Balance wizard!

The wand could also be fun, especially in PvP with that may cast Mana Burn!

The Pet and Mount

The new pet is simultaneously the cutest and coolest pet I think I’ve ever seen!  The aptly named Squirreligig is a two-tailed blue and white squirrel that flies by spinning its two tails like a helicopter. Is that not just the most amazing thing ever?!

With it, comes an Unstoppable card and 4 Epic talents!  It also has decent stats, meaning transferring stats to this cool dude won’t be too hard!

The new mount, the Blue Ox, is a pack horse version of the Blue Ox mob from the
Aero Plains!  It makes a super adorable little jingle noise as it bounces around the Spiral!

It’s my new personal favorite mount and I love its design!  I personally would buy 5 more of these bundles just to have a Blue Ox on each character!

The House

While there’s not an abundance of outside space, there’s plenty of room to create an amazingly built up house!  Personally, I plan on building a super fun community focused house!  A fun area for a whole lot of friends to just hang around in!

With fishing available, it seems like there is something to please every type of Wizard101 player!  As for the house itself, there are 10 separate outside entrances all leading into the same massive interior.  It is an actual maze inside.  It is, and I’m not exaggerating, HUGE on the inside.  With multiple levels and some massive rooms, designing the interior of this is not only gonna be fun, but also challenging!

Oh and don’t get me started on the waterfall!  Right next to which is a windmill that gives you a free item every day!  Oh, and did I mention there’s a PvP arena out back for some saucy duels?!  This house is definitely my favorite part of this bundle!

So In Conclusion

Well, I think it’s safe to say this bundle is one of the best we’ve ever seen in terms of all-around design.  The beautiful house, the plucky happy-go-lucky Blue Ox and the adorably cool Squirreligig all show amazing design and creativity!  The new gear design is also awesome and definitely stitchable!

Inspired by one of my favorite area’s in-game, this is a bundle I’d highly recommend to any of you looking to pick up a new bundle.  It’s creative and altogether fun and worthwhile!

Advice

The Castle contains 4 ponds that are linked together.
The spells will apply to both ponds, so there’s no need to repeat them.
The fishes of this Castle are mostly from the ice school, so use Winnow Ice Fish or an ice lure!
Winnow ice fish can help too if you use the Buoy Chests 1 spell.
The Napoleguin Doodlefish, Ice school, rank 2 is the doodle of this Castle.

Secret Pond

At a lower point on the ice wall of the Polarian Shipwreck, there is a different color to the ice. If you walk through, you will find a hidden pond.

Fishing For Chest in Bundle Houses

In 2014 Wizard101 gave us fishing, by 2015 it had come to castles and houses.By 2016 after enough fishing, I noticed that some of the chests in bundle houses contained precious gifts. I started looking for more information online andI found various drops confirmed from houses purchased through bundles.

My question was then: Does Every bundle pond, moat, or stream containing all of a bundles matching equipment? All of its gear, pet and mount inside the fishing chests found in its waters? I started a big hunt for the information, which continues to this day. In 2016, I decided to make a guide asking my friends in the community to screenshot anything that they got from chests in bundle houses

It turns out the answer is not so simple. To find out we need more wizards to get fishing and solve this mystery. Is all the equipment that comes bundled with Castles inside those chests? Some say yes. Myth or reality?

Eventually, we get confirmation that we can catch permanent mounts in Castles.

Fishing requires time and patience. It still has not gained a huge following in game, possibly due to its difficulty. If more wizards knew the secrets of fishing, and what they could win, we would have a better chance of finding out.

Fisherman Secrets:

  • Each Castle/House has a specific number of fish in its ponds.
  • When we catch some fish, they will be replaced automatically by new fish after 15 minutes.
  • Every Castle or location has one or more ponds.
  • Some ponds are connected between them so that the fishing spell you cast is for all. Some are not connected, so you need to repeat spells in each pond separately.
  • Each pond has specific limits. Some of the fish seem to travel through the limits, some even inside the obstacles, without being able to see them. So, we need specific spells to bring the fish closer to our position, and also to slow them down or even freeze them in place.
  • Each player has his own fish. No other one can scare off or catch the fish you see.
  • The fish you find in each Castle of the same type is the same for each Castle of the same name.
  • The chests there are like fish, in all categories, ranks, schools, and rarity. The fish are divided into common, rare and epic, the same is true for the chests.

The new fishing spell:

The new spell is like summon fish, affect the fish together with the chests. It gives us the ability to have a 50% better chance to get a chest from that moment on in the affected pond. KI gave us a great new fishing spell in Azteca, Buoy Chests 1, giving us fishers an exciting new advantage in finding these chests! The best plan is to catch everything in the pond within 15 minutes after we use these spells.

More secrets:

Repeat the spell for every body of water that is not connected.Refresh the spells every 15 mins when the fish in the pond reset.

How to search for rare/epic fish/chest:

We can tell them apart from the high speed and fast direction change. You will need fishing luck to catch these, and it may take dozens of resets to find them.If you do find them, stay there.

Best plan after casting Buoy Chests 1:Use a rank 2 lure of whichever school seems to be most common in the housing pond when you use reveal. Try to catch as many fish as you can before the 15 min. reset. The spell only affects one pond every time, like the Banish Sentinels 1 does, before April 2018 update.*Banish Sentinels now Banishes Sentinels in the entire zone, not just the nearest pond.

  •  Every House also has a unique Doodlefish that confused us because they act like rare fish!

Are you ready to confirm that all the equipment is there?
